INDEPENDENT’S DAY: TAKING MATTERS INTO YOUR OWN HANDS
Entertainment Business Seminar and Networking Event

Purpose: To provide a series of free educational workshops and networking events for independent artists and entrepreneurs as well as a platform for networking with industry professional and peers in an informal setting. Our format will be to present guest speakers from various disciplines within the entertainment industry who can share their expertise, experience and insight into the best practices to follow to achieve success in this business of music.

Location: These workshops will be held in Atlanta Public Library facilities. Exact locations have not been determined at the present time, however, we seek to meet at the most central of locations so that as many people as possible will be able to attend.

Topics: We seek to incorporate a variety of topics of discussion: Marketing & Promotional Strategies, Recording and Performance Presentation, Photography, Video Production, Effective Networking, Business Etiquette, Entertainment Law, as well as other pertinent aspects of the entertainment industry.

Speakers: We will present guest speakers who have definitive expertise in their particular fields and have the desire and ability to impart knowledge in laymen’s terms. The events are free to the public so we are looking for individuals/groups that are willing to lend their time and talent as a way of giving back to future entrepreneurs. Each guest speaker will be allotted twenty minutes for their presentation with a brief Q&A session afterwards.
